Using the mouse with file browser windows in Web style integration mode

Click here to see a ScreenCam movie about using the mouse with disk browser windows in Web style integration mode.In Web style integration mode, folder and file names in disk browse windows look and behave like hyperlinks in Web pages. Folder and file names are underlined, and are highlighted when you move the mouse pointer over them. A single click on an item opens it.

With practice, this can become a faster and more and more convenient way of working, but it can take some getting used to, especially when selecting, renaming and group-selecting items. However many experienced users of Windows 95 have not changed over to this method yet, preferring the old standard double click interface.

The ScreenCam movie and the table below describe how to use the mouse in Classic and Web-style modes.
